Job Description

The TSS Strategy and Product Management team sets the product direction for the global multi-billion-dollar office printing supplies portfolio (toner cartridges and related consumables).

As a Portfolio Analyst based in Boise Idaho, you will apply your expertise in organizing and visualizing information and data to improve product strategies and business outcomes. You will work alongside a team of Product Managers to lead key analysis projects spanning the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing portfolio line logic including product specifications and pricing attributes to ensure logical product differentiation and customer buy-up and buy-down options.
  • Analyzing customer behaviors (ex. printing behaviors, market share, purchase choices) to identify trends, regional variations and identifying areas for further investigation.
  • Review product performance relative to expectations, across generations and compared to adjacent products in the portfolio - to increase business understanding and improve predictive models.
  • Develop standardized analytical views and tools supporting product management processes to ensure consistency in the use/application of data across the team.
  • Develop analytical models in support of new business ideas, new business models, and to understand business tradeoffs and choice points.
  • Represent the data/information needs of the Product Management team with key partner organizations (ex. Big Data team, Insights team, Forecasting team, etc.).

Education and Knowledge Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Finance/Engineering/Data field.
  • 2 to 5 years related work experience
  • MBA a Plus
  • Strong business acumen. Understanding of business models, pricing and financials.
  • Proven analytical skills. Ability to assemble and frame data to inform decision making including Excel modeling and visualization (and/or related applications).
