Dominos Pizza - Our Culture

The Domino's Culture The Domino's Culture

Domino’s Pizza people are essentially all the same. We live for the thrill of being “Fast and Nice,” a phrase coined by our Chairman and CEO, Dave Brandon, in 2005. Imagine working with dedicated team members in more than 60 markets around the world, making and delivering delicious meals to families one million times a day!

We are the recognized world leader in pizza delivery, and we’re darn proud of it! Some people even say we have pizza sauce running through our veins.

Some companies tend to think ‘work’ is the antithesis of ‘fun’. Not Domino’s Pizza. Our motto is “Sell More Pizza, Have More Fun,” for goodness sake! We all make and sell pizza for a living... what’s more fun than that? This is our culture. We expect a lot from our team members and our team members deliver! In appreciation, we try to create an atmosphere that’s fun as well as productive.

The quick service industry – and pizza, in particular – is a competitive place. And we like to win! That competitive streak carries over to our World’s Fastest Pizza Maker competition. Every year, pizza makers that are timed in our stores compete in regional events around the world to make large pizzas to precise specifications. The fastest regional times qualify team members to the world championship, where they compete for title and cash prizes

Diversity
We believe the more our company reflects the neighborhoods where we do business, the greater our competitive advantage will be. We believe richness of diversity in the workplace stimulates the work environment and, in turn, stimulates creativity and innovation. We believe we are stronger, more effective and more profitable because we use all the human resources our society has to offer.

Values and Philosophy
Our Mission Statement and Guiding Principles make up the core commitments that govern our business decisions. Our commitment to diversity simply states:

Domino’s Pizza is committed to an inclusive culture which values the contributions of our customers, team members, suppliers and neighbors.

The cornerstones of our diversity philosophy will be clearly communicated to each team member, with a promise that we are committed to providing an environment in which:

• Team members are treated fairly.
• Team members are recognized and rewarded based on ability and merit for their contributions.
• Team members have equal access to opportunity for growth and advancement.
• Team members respect each other and are free from harassment, discrimination, and intolerance.
• The management and development of our team members is recognized as crucial to the success of the business.

The Domino's Team The Domino's Team

Domino’s Pizza began nearly 50 years ago as one small pizza shop in Ypsilanti, Mich. Today, we are the recognized world leader in pizza delivery and you can find us almost everywhere on the planet, growing to about 8,700 store locations worldwide in more than 60 markets.

That kind of growth doesn’t happen by accident. It takes leadership, commitment and an ever-evolving team of passionate people who love what they do. Our success is accomplished when our exceptional team members WOW our customers! Our company’s Chariman and CEO, Dave Brandon, is fond of saying “the pizza company with the best people will win.” Clearly, the team members in our stores who make, bake and take more than one million pizzas to customers’ doorstep every day are the backbone of our company.

The Domino's Pizza Team is hard working, committed to excellence and serious about having fun. There are more than 170,000 team members employed by 600 corporate-owned stores, a system of 5,000+ domestic franchise-owned stores and international franchise base that operates more than 3,000 stores in more than 60 markets around the globe. Of those, 13,000 are corporate team members, and more than 400 at the World Resource Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
