We are seeking a Sr. Bridge Engineer with strong technical and project management skills to become an integral part and lead our bridge design team. Come be a part of a growing Pacific Northwest bridge team with the opportunity to be located in the ever-growing Treasure Valley of SW Idaho.

Responsibilities
    Lead the Bridge Group for the Idaho Office. This will include mentoring bridge staff, staffing of bridge projects, quality control review, and business development
  • Build the bridge group by recruiting bridge engineers.
  • Essential team member responsible for the planning, administration, and design of small, medium, and potentially large size structural projects as part of a local team and across the Enterprise as part of a larger multi-disciplinary teams in various geographic locations in accordance with state and federal standards.
  • Work in cooperation with bridge staff in other offices to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies and state DOTs.
  • Responsible for designing structural components, report writing, development of plans, specifications and estimates, quality control and assurance activities.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure both client satisfaction and objectives are met.
  • Assist with marketing, writing proposals, winning work, maintaining, and developing key client relationships.
  • Participate in client-rich professional organizations and functions.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering required. Master's Degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Idaho Professional Engineer (PE) required or the ability to obtain through reciprocity; PE licenses in other states a plus.
  • Structural Engineer (SE) certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years engineering experience as a bridge engineer performing design and plan preparation tasks including report writing, structural analysis, seismic analysis and design, quantity calculation, construction support services
  • Bridge design experience on Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) projects a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience managing tasks, projects, and professional staff.
  • Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Familiarity with engineering software packages such as Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, L-Pile, LEAP Bridge Steel, and MathCAD a plus.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation (ORD a plus) and Civil3D
  • Advanced understanding of seismic design principles and non-linear analysis techniques
  • Strong understanding of structural behavior and mechanics of materials.
  • Independently and accurately completing engineering calculations for reinforced and prestressed concrete and steel structures. Familiarity with timber and masonry design a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (including MS Project)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing bridge plans (coordinating markups with CADD technicians), assembling/ writing specifications, and developing quantities and cost estimates.
