JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Employment Attorney to join our team as Vice President. This position provides Employment Advice and Counsel to the Chief HR Officer of FOX Corporation and leadership team. This is a hybrid position and is based in New York City.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all aspects of employment and related administrative proceedings filed in New York and other States, including California
  • Oversee external counsel on litigation matters
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice and counseling to various Fox business units (News, Sports, Entertainment, Television Stations, Tubi, Credible, etc.) on all aspects of employment law, including issues of harassment, discrimination and retaliation, the hiring process, discipline, and terminations, leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, wage and hour issues, employee investigations, etc.
  • Conduct legal research as needed; create and revise Company policies and procedures; prepare Legal Memos for Human Resources and other executives; etc.
  • Periodically present seminars to Fox's employees on various topics (e.g., harassment, discrimination, and retaliation; etc.) and prepare materials as needed for those presentations
  • Periodically draft and/or review vendor and consulting agreements, including HR-related global sourcing contracts (e.g., relating to employee benefits, retirement, staffing)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Law school degree with at least 6-8 years of employment litigation experience, preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house experience at a public company
  • Ability to formulate and execute litigation strategy
  • Substantial experience advising and counseling in-house clients on all aspects of employment law
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively in team settings when needed
  • High level of self-direction and sound judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $222,500.00-311,500.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
