Summary/Objective

Responsible for safely and effectively troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining operations and production equipment at a pace that meets production demands. Responsible for adhering to LCI core values, safety guidelines, and lean initiatives. Required to request support, as necessary, from other Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance leadership. All Maintenance positions support operations and production first, when necessary.

Essential Functions

  1. Advanced Electrical - Able to safely and proficiently perform advanced troubleshooting and design of electrical circuits and systems; single and three phases, up to 480V AC
  2. Lighting - Able to safely and proficiently perform troubleshooting and installation of lighting systems and lighting fixtures throughout the facility
  3. Intermediate Controls - Responsible for troubleshooting/maintaining/installing circuits and automated machinery and systems containing relay logic, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, and associated components.
  4. Basic Tools -Able to safely perform maintenance tasks using basic hand tools and basic power tools
  5. Basic Mechanical - Able to safely and proficiently perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and rebuild tasks
  6. Basic Facilities - Able to complete or assist with basic facility maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, concrete work, etc.
  7. Production Equipment - Able to safely and proficiently perform basic production troubleshooting and rebuild tasks, as necessary, to support production
  8. Fork/Aerial Lifts - Able to safely and proficiently operate fork trucks and aerial l

Competencies

  1. Good housekeeping and implementing/sustaining 5S standards
  2. Observation and promotion of all safety rules and policies, especially LOTO
  3. Highly proficient with a multi meter, and other electrical test equipment
  4. Intermediate computer, reading/writing, and communication skills
  5. Ability to interpret manuals, technical drawings, electrical schematics, and ladder logic
  6. Highly motivated, organized, self-starter, able execute work from daily schedule
  7. Required to use honesty, integrity, and candor with the entire Maintenance team to create trust, and to support their passion for winning
  8. Committed to a maintaining positive attitude and caring about people
  9. Must be reliable and prompt

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active - while performing this job the Team Member is regularly standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

In addition, the Team Member may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays will be mandatory.

Travel

No travel will be required.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Electrical Journeyman's card or equivalent work experience
  3. Must successfully complete LCI new hire safety training and refreshers
  4. Must be able to successfully pass the LCI OSHA approved forklift-training course
  5. Must successfully complete LCI Lock Out Tag Out Training
  6. Must successfully complete LCI Arc Flash/Electrical Hazard Training
  7. Must successfully complete LCI Fall Hazard Training, as required
  8. Must successfully complete LCI Confined Space Training, as required
  9. Must successfully complete all LCI lean training, as required
  10. Must successfully complete LCI Tabware Technician Training

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. PLC - Education/Experience servicing programmable logic controls systems
  2. Basic Fabrication - Ability to weld or experience with basic metal fabrication
  3. Basic Construction - Experience with concrete, painting, dry wall, framing, and interior trim work tasks
  4. Overhead Doors - Experience diagnosing/resolving issues with overhead doors
  5. Rigging - Experience rigging and moving equipment with a boom
  6. Schematics - Ability to read hydraulic, or pneumatic prints
  7. Repair - Education/Experience with machine operation and repair
  8. Mechanicals - Experience with servicing HVAC equipment, filtration systems, or pneumatic compressors
  9. Conveyors - Experience servicing overhead conveyor systems
  10. Coating - Experience servicing coating or blasting systems
  11. Plumbing - Experience with basic troubleshooting and installation of plumbing fixtures

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
