Summary/Objective

Responsible for auditing product at the plant to ensure customer quality expectations are exceeded. Document and communicate all quality-related issues to the accountable parties. Complies with all rules and policies maintained by the company (safety, continuous improvement, leadership, core values). Willing and able to help train quality personnel along with instilling knowledge to manufacturing personnel.

Essential Functions

  1. Quality Assurance: Audit that product is built to print and meets customer expectations both structurally and aesthetically. Audits are performed on materials, raw product and finished product depending upon the focus area.
  2. Communication: Communicate with quality personnel, direct supervisor(s) and management about any quality issues identified during audits. Help Train and instill knowledge when needed.
  3. Administration: Document audit findings on focus area. Submit audits to direct supervisor. Review quality control's documentation to ensure processes are followed. Scan various documentation to direct supervisor.

Competencies

  1. Quality at the customer - 96.5% Goal
  2. Quality Audit % at focus areas - 60% Goal or higher on lines of focus (Thresholds set by Quality Manager)
  3. Reduce repeat issues at focus areas by min. 40%

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active - 98%s standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time hourly position

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Quality Assurance (preferred)
  2. Basic Administration (preferred)

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required. Proven quality assurance and auditing experience in a similar industry preferred. Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
