Our Garden Segment is hiring an eCommerce Business Development Manager on our Home Depot Business Development Team in Atlanta, GA. This newly created position, based in Atlanta, will be responsible for sales-related activities specific to eCommerce on homedepot.com, including supporting Brand Advocate omnichannel strategies to ensure that products are optimized on homedepot.com, tracking sales results, interacting with sales leads to develop assortment and promotion strategies, and owning the relationship with the homedepot.com merchant. This role reports to the Home Depot Team Lead with a dotted line to the Customer Marketing Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the eCommerce channel, including consumer experience, assortment, analytics, reporting, bundle creation, IDM item setup, pricing, forecasting and growth strategy
  • Own the business relationship with the homedepot.com merchant with an emphasis on online fulfillment channel management
  • Responsible for daily order maintenance with order desk team regarding case packs, inventory, and pricing discrepancies
  • Manage the eCommerce processes and relationship with Customer Marketing and the Home Depot Brand Advocate
  • Track and analyze POS (point-of-sale) data to develop recommendations with specific action plans to address issues and improve economic profit, volume, and sales growth. Key examples include distribution and promotional analyses.
  • Manage all reporting of eCommerce financials, provide insights and learnings to the leadership team weekly
  • Track omnichannel assortment and monitor site changes
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales Team, Customer Marketing, eCommerce, and Brand Teams
  • Conduct post-event analysis of promotions and determine ROI
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a highly visible role, presenting findings
  • Must be very detail-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and possess drive and initiative
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Marketing/Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years eCommerce experience on the brand or retailer side
  • Knowledge of the garden industry and/or the home improvement channel preferred
  • Previous experience with The Home Depot is a plus
