DEPCOM Power, a leading renewable energy EPC firm, is looking to add a Director of Civil Engineering to join their team. This role will be responsible for leading the Civil team, reviewing and identifying process improvements, and participating in the technical development of DEPCOM's internal capabilities. This role is based out of our office in Pleasanton, CA, but may also sit in DEPCOM's headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ or in our Bedminster, NJ office. Remote and/or hybrid candidates, with the right virtues, talents, and qualifications for the role, may be considered provided frequent travel is not a constraint.

What You Will Do

  • Drive the team's knowledge and application of Principle Based Management in all of the work that we do.
  • Supervise, coach, and provide guidance to all civil engineering team members.
  • Collaborate with other engineering leaders across the value chain (i.e. structural, electrical, GIS, etc.) to set up our project delivery team for success.
  • Implement workflows and processes to help guide Construction and Project Delivery Teams to success, as it relates to civil works.
  • Support long-term initiative of bringing civil engineering and design capabilities, in-house.
  • Create and maintain KPI's for the civil team to track performance and deliverables.
  • Oversee lead engineer's activities and the portfolio of deliverables during varying stages of permitting, construction, or close-out multiple sites across the country, simultaneously.
  • Attend and participate weekly pre-Construction and Construction meetings, as required.
  • Perform project site visits as required.
  • Attend and participate in contractual exhibit page turns.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Supervisory experience leading a team of engineers and designers.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Civil Engineering or a Construction Discipline.
  • Experience in construction execution for site preparation, grading, and stormwater management BMP's
  • Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering, construction practices, and procedures.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Licensed Professional Civil Engineer, NCEES verified, and willing to sign/seal civil designs under your supervision.
  • Utility Scale Solar, Energy Storage, or Land Development civil design experience.

For this role, we anticipate paying $175k - $200k per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
